Are you a US student interested in having a life-changing international experience next summer? The Salaam Exchange Program can give you the opportunity to develop your professional skills, an opportunity to improve your understanding of a Arab culture, and an opportunity to be a positive ambassador of American culture in the Arab world. 30 US Students will have the opportunity to spend 3-12 months in the Arab World on paid internships with top Corporations, NGOs, and Governmental Organizations. In addition to the internship experience, students will have the opportunity to participate in community service and to interact with AIESEC’s local student volunteers in your host country through organized social and cultural activities. Program Details: What? Paid summer and spring semester internships in the field of business, technology, and education. These internships will be in respected corporations, NGOs, and governmental organizations. Where? Tunisia, Morocco, UAE, and Egypt When? Spring Internships begin in January/February 2005, Summer Internships begin in May/June 2005, cultural preparation will begin in December 2004 for spring participants and April 2005 for summer participants. Winter Internships will begin in January 2005 and can run from one semester to one year. Who? Any US student who meets the minimum criteria for applicants will be able to apply How? Applications for January 2005 will open in September 27th. Cost:
$45 non-refundable application fee for all new applicants. Additionally,
all students who are matched to an internship will pay the normal $455 AIESEC
administrative fee. NOTE: If you are already an SN/accepted student at an AIESEC
local committee and have already paid the application fee, you do not need to
re-submit this fee. US students interested in applying to the Salaam Program should fulfill the following minimum criteria:
- Available to begin an internship between January 2005 for Spring Semester Internships
or May 15th and July 1st 2005
for the summer.
