Are you an Egyptian student interested in having a life-changing international experience next summer? The Salaam Summer 2004 Exchange Program can give you the opportunity to develop your professional skills, your understanding of a new culture, and to improve the understanding of Americans and American culture. 25 students from Tunisia, Morocco, UAE, and Egypt will have the opportunity to spend 3-12 months in the United States on paid internships with top Corporations, NGOs, and Governmental Organizations. In addition to the internship experience, students will have the opportunity to participate in community service and to interact with AIESEC’s local student volunteers in your host country through organized social and cultural activities. Program Details: What? Paid summer internships in the field of business, technology, and education. These internships will be in respected corporations, NGOs, and governmental organizations. Where? Multiple Locations in the United States (mostly New York, Michigan, and San Francisco) When? Internships begin in June/July 2005, cultural preparation will begin in February 2005. Who? Any student who meets the minimum criteria for applicants will be able to apply How? Online applications will be available on this site beginning on September 27th, 2005. MINIMUM CRITERIA FOR STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM: Egyptian students interested in applying to the Salaam Program should fulfill the following minimum criteria: - Fluent in English - Available to begin an internship between May 15th and July 1st 2005 - Available for a minimum of 12 weeks and a maximum of 52 weeks. - Sophomore or higher standing at an accredited University - Ability to complete mandatory preparatory learning and reading activities leading up to your pre-departure preparation seminar - Able to attend a weekend-long pre-departure preparation seminar in Egypt in May
